CHASS Student of the Month
We are seeking nominations on an ongoing basis for CHASS Student of the Month. Please note that the student may have a double major in another college, but his/her primary matriculation should be in CHASS. You may nominate yourself and/or a peer(s). Nominations not selected for the next month will be held and considered for future months.
We are not seeking specific qualifications for the profiled student (i.e. GPA, number of leadership positions). Rather, we would like to highlight outstanding individuals who, on the whole, are good students and are actively involved in the university or local community. Preference will be given to those who have distinguished themselves in some way (i.e. through academics, extracurriculars, research, volunteer work, special projects) and/or who have done something (either before or during their college career) that might seem unique or unusual.
Nominations should contain at least one detailed paragraph explaining why the student should be chosen as Student of the Month. Be sure to include the nominee’s name, class level, phone number, e-mail, and whatever information is available about his/her major(s), extracurricular/volunteer activities, and accomplishments. Nominations may be e-mailed to Dara Leeder or dropped off in 106 Caldwell Hall.
