Bio

Kathy is a native of Raleigh and attended Sanderson High School.  After earning her degree in Industrial Relations from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, she began her career at Nortel Networks, where she worked for over twenty years in Marketing, Proposal Development, and Information Management.  She joined NC State University and the college’s development team in 2008.

Responsibilities

Kathy is responsible for stewardship activities to inform, cultivate and engage alumni, friends and donors of the college.  She is also responsible for the management of gift funds that support the college. In collaboration with the dean’s office and college departments, she is responsible for the overall administration of the college scholarship program, ensuring awards are made, and communicating award information to both students and donors.  She is also the primary liaison to the Dean’s Board, a volunteer advocacy and fund-raising organization operating in support of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
